Responsible for the accurate processing of insurance claims and subsequent follow up as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares the O/P and the DME encounters in preparation for transmit.
Making sure all pertinent information meets medicare’s criteria to bill.
Making sure all eligibility information is attached.
Follow up with all documents lacking by calling physicians and patients.
Scan all insurance payments, patient payments, and denials to file. Daily
Confirm all cash rentals, JTB, and VA.
Post payments for cash rentals, and VA.
Bill JTB accounts.
Back up Medical Records clerk.
Complete chart audits; signature required
Complete making sure all pertinent information meets medicare’s criteria to bill.
Making sure all eligibility information is attached.
Follow up with all documents lacking by calling physicians and patients.
Scan all insurance payments, patient payments, and denials to file.
Chart audits, signature required:
Complete daily task form sheet and forward to Management for review.
Performs other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
High School diploma.
Experience Medical Biller
Minimum 1-5 years experience in Commercial insurance billing, monthly statements, secondary insurance claims,
Prior experience dealing with providers’ office, patients and/or customers, patients and/or customers representatives, insurance professionals, and other health care professionals
Skills and Strengths
Knowledge of principles and processes involved in business and insurance industry.
Demonstrates ability to identify covered and non-covered services
Working knowledge of Medical Terminology, ICD-10, HCPCS, and CPT codes.
Ability to complete all tasks and assignments
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
On average an employee may be expected to sit, stand, walk, and possibly drive as part of the essential duties of this position during an (8) hour shift. Other physical activities of this position may involve the following
