In this position you will be required to ensure the behavior of the crew (when working on a client site) is in accordance with company safety culture. A qualified candidate understands the lagging and leading safety indicators and promotes a philosophy that achieves established goals. You must have knowledge of job site/area specific safety requirements, safety equipment, material procurement, training requirements and tracking of training.
Responsibilities as a Safety Supervisor - Must be able to manage and enforce Site Safety Programs for the assigned project(s) by identifying, eliminating and controlling hazardous conditions that may lead to injury and/or property damage. By using and enforcing job specific safety standards, best management practices, and Site-Specific safety program, the Safety Supervisor shall ensure the safety of all persons and property on the job site resulting in an accident/incident free project.
Site Details -
- Enforce safe work practices and safe working conditions in accordance with all State, Federal, Local regulations (including OSHA), as well as Site Specific policies and owner/contractual requirements.
- Conduct daily and/or weekly (as appropriate or specified by job) job site inspections.
- Record observations from site inspections and complete required reports.
- Investigate, corroborate, document, all accidents, incidents, and near misses on the jobsite.
- Recommend and implement corrective action based on policies, guidelines, and laws.
- Conduct weekly "Toolbox Safety Meeting' and document content and attendance.
- Conduct Safety Orientation for new employees.
- Advise project staff on site specific safety issues/guideline
- Evaluate the need for safety training and make recommendations

Minimum Requirements -
- Thorough knowledge of Construction Industry methods and OSHA standards.
- OSHA 30 Construction Industry Certification, OSHA 500 and/or its equivalent
- 5-10 years safety experience in construction industry.
- Bilingual (Spanish)
- Basic working knowledge of MS Office and Windows.
