Overview

The Director of Marketing provides leadership and support to the bank by developing, managing, and maintaining a client-centric marketing approach, which results in the delivery of exquisite client experiences. Puts appropriate approaches and processes in place to support the bank's competitive strategy. Implements tactics to reach the bank's target markets. Director of Marketing is a trusted and strategic partner that works alongside business leaders.  


Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes the bank's strategic marketing plan
  • Oversees the management of the brand and proper use of brand assets
  • Partners with Executive Team, Market Leaders, and Key Personnel to develop, support, and execute marketing initiatives to our defined target markets and to expand reach in all business lines
  • Puts in place an organization-wide marketing planning process and oversees proper implementation
  • Serves as point person for all website, social media, marketing, and digital content
  • Acts as the liaison for the bank and marketing agency. Works with agency to place appropriate schedules for the bank's advertising efforts
  • Develops, maintains, and is accountable for the annual marketing budget, in accordance with market level budgets
  • Oversees the creation and coordination of media needed to fulfill the advertising placed (print, digital, etc.)
  • Leads strategic implementation of social media marketing efforts and monitors all bank social networking sites
  • Manages content, develops copy, and provides oversight of the design of marketing materials and bank publications
  • Manages use of client-facing website and works with website/SEO partner to continually improve the bank's online presence and measure its progress
  • Manages internal/external communication including the use of email marketing automation tools
  • Directs the coordination and planning for all corporate events
  • Establishes a robust use of data throughout the organization for greater insight and understanding of clients, better-informed decision-making, personalization, etc.
  • Evaluates and implements ways to measure results of advertising and marketing efforts, as well as client satisfaction
  • Ongoing, makes recommendations for use of available "marketing tools" to maximize sales opportunities
  • Supervises the marketing team and aligns overall performance of team members with performance goals that correspond with the team’s strategic plan and the Bank’s objectives
  • Builds brand awareness and brand story through exquisite and responsive client service
  • Supports the Chief of Staff in public relations efforts and contributes to the team effort by participating in special projects and other assigned duties as needed

  • Interacts with internal and external clients while providing extraordinary service
  • Develops and maintains trusted, positive relationships with employees, clients and vendors.
  • Represents the Bank and Marketing team in a highly professional manner and is actively involved in community leadership/stewardship
  • Completes job assignments in a professional, timely and efficient manner; organize and prioritize work
  • Maintains confidentiality; adhere to CrossFirst Bank policies and procedures; comply with laws, regulations and industry best practices
  • Reliable and predictable attendance

Qualifications

  • Strong marketing background, both strategic and tactical, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Strong communication skills – verbal, written, and oral presentation.
  • Proven experience required in creative and technical writing.
  • Experience in developing digital strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and facilitation skills.
  • Strong people and project management skills.
  • High comfort level with software and technology applications – Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, Google Analytics, database management, etc.
  • High comfort level with acquiring, analyzing, and applying data with each of the lines of business in the bank.
  • Significant understanding of digital marketing (website, social media, content marketing, search engine optimization, etc.) and how to apply it to financial services.
  • Able to work well with all associates throughout the organization.
  • Able to work well with compliance related to all aspects of marketing.
  • Skilled at developing and managing budgets.
  • Strong process and results orientation.
  • Ability to travel to branches and outside vendor meetings is required.
  • Requires a high level of tact and integrity due to the regular exposure to confidential data.
  • Demonstrates personal behaviors exemplary of the core values of CrossFirst Bank.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.
