Overview
An Event Specialist-Beauty Advisor performs the role of a dedicated and enthusiastic user of the product(s) that they are promoting. The role requires executing promotional events in drugstore/pharmacy environment in a given territory.
Responsibilities
- Promote events, products and demonstrations during in-store and/or offsite/special events to increase brand awareness and sales.
- Achieve assigned sales targets by being results-oriented.
- Build and maintain rapport with store staff to effectively meet company and client objectives.
- Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and influence buying decisions on the product with the consumer, in a positive manner.
- Provide (hand-out) materials such as samples and/or product brochures to consumers.
- Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product to the consumer.
- Properly set up and prepare for event execution.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning products.
- Take photographs to document event success stories as required.
- Assist with preparation for client visits.
- Follow all company process, policy, and position responsibilities.

Qualifications

- Education/Experience: High school diploma required. Attendance for a minimum of six (6) months at a school for esthetics or cosmetology preferred. Beauty, skincare industry experience preferred.
- Experience with the application of cosmetics and skin care products.
- Possess the aptitude to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
- Proficient use of a personal computer and familiarity with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Effective written and oral communication skills (English and/or French, depending on the territory managed).
- Outgoing, energetic, articulate
- Maintain a professional and appropriately groomed appearance consistent with the requirements of the role.
- Specific Retailer Dress code requirements are included in the training documents, where applicable.
- Working environment: Retail store environment with some travel required.
Physical Demands - The associate will be regularly required to stand up to 6-8 hours at a time; walk in store aisles to engage with consumers; use hands and fingers to handle or feel the products; talk and hear to the supervisor’ guidelines and consumer inquiries; visual ability to read instructions and perform events.
