We are currently searching for three dynamic individuals to become the Behavioral Health Clinician IV. This position assists the individual and the family in accessing different programs, facilitates coordination between the systems involved, and links to community resources.
All positions require pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Conduct co-occurring client assessments.
Place patients into appropriate levels of care based on assessments.
Conduct group, family, and individual counseling sessions.
Work with patients to develop and update treatment plans and goals.
Monitor patient behavior and progress.
Incorporate behavior modification and stress management therapeutic techniques to assist patients with their addictions and other issues.
Administer and analyze patient testing instruments to evaluate patient needs.
Provide patients with therapeutic projects, recreational therapy, or other activities.
Complete documentation within established deadlines.
Maintain client records pursuant to licensing regulations.
Participate in staffing clients with the unit team and communicate with community referral sources including but not limited to probation, parole, and Department of Social Services.
Provide crisis intervention and arrange for hospitalization as needed.
Coordinate and make referrals to community support services to supplement treatment and counseling.
Assist patients in obtaining services to become self-sufficient and prevent relapse.
May be required to assist in urine/breath testing and monitoring.
May be required to travel to outlying sites to train and/or provide treatment to clients.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Must have a master's degree in social work, psychology, or counseling.
Licensure:
Requires licensure as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT.
Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS) certification in addition to the license is preferred.
Must be able to obtain CAS certification within 18 months from the date of hire.
Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years working in the mental health field.
Previous substance treatment experience and expertise with trauma preferred.
Demonstrated experience working with interdisciplinary teams.
Other:
Must have an understanding of ASAM and SOA-R level of care criteria.
Must have solid verbal and written communication skills.
Computer skills are required.
CPR and First-Aid certification (initial training and renewals paid for by agency).
Valid driver's license and insurability.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
A combination of both office and clinical settings is conducive to practical training of staff and counseling and treatment of clients.
