What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residence Manager position at CROSSROADS UNLIMITED?
Under the supervision of the Director of Residential Services , the Residence Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations one residential program serving people with developmental disabilities.
In conjunction with the Director of Residential Services, the Residence Manager is also responsible for providing leadership, vision, and direction in the following areas: client services; program development; fiscal management, regulatory compliance; physical plant management; and program staffing.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED; Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum two years supervisory experience in a residential program
- Three years' experience in developmental disabilities or related field
- Valid Driver's License
The Residence Manager will:
- Set the course and direction of the residential programs under his/her supervision.
- Provide a setting that offers the highest level of care to persons served and ensures that all individuals receiving services are treated with the utmost respect. Ensure that the confidentiality of program participants is respected at all times.
- Represent Crossroads, both within and outside the organization, in a manner that promotes the mission, vision, values, and goals of the agency. Personally adhere to Crossroads’s Standards & Values Statement, in addition to all other agency policies and procedures. Ensure that Crossroads’s Standards& Values are maintained by all program staff.
- Take a proactive approach to services and care, always seeking new ways to assist individuals to reach their fullest potential.
- Advocate appropriately and professionally on behalf of program participants, as required.
- Ensure the smooth and effective functioning of the Program Planning Team process throughout assigned programs.
- Ensure ongoing optimum level of quality in the areas of health and safety, sanitation, and nutrition. Ensure that program participants are clean and safe at all times. Ensure that no program participant is inappropriately left alone or unsupervised at any time
- Conduct regular observations of services, as well as periodic observation of community inclusion activities. Ensure that appropriate community inclusion and recreational activities occur on a regular basis for all residents.
- Ensure the appropriate reporting, review and follow-up of all incidents, including allegations of abuse and neglect and serious reportable incidents, within mandated timeframes.
- Be available on-call 24 hours a day to handle emergencies and/or other issues requiring immediate guidance and intervention.
- When necessary, perform DSP duties (too include shift coverage, supervision, medication administration, medical appointments) when shortages of staff may impact service delivery.
- Fill in when needed as a direct support professional.
