Schedule/Pay

• Fulltime: 4 days a week, 10 hour days
• Rotating schedule
• 1:30pm – 12am (10 hour shift with 30 min. meal break)
• Never work Sundays

JOB SUMMARY

The primary purpose of the Maintenance Technician Level III is to ensure smooth functioning of the plant equipment through efficient preventative maintenance with the utilization of all SAFETY RELATED tactics and practices.

Level III maintenance technicians should be self-motivated in routine jam pulling, basic repairs and basic maintenance. The Level III technician should be capable of supporting daily production and provide detailed feedback to management and senior maintenance personnel regarding production maintenance issues. Level III technician s primary concern is with keeping production floor equipment clean, operating properly and jam free. Level three technicians should be very visible on the floor and capable of reaching any piece of equipment quickly and efficiently.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Must work safe and follow all company and industry related safety rules and practices.
• Responsible for the day to day safe machine operation:
• Does not take shortcuts – always follow proper safety procedures when working on or around machinery.
• Follows all lock out/tag out procedures.

• Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled:
• Record all activities in COGS.
• Ensure that all PMs are done on schedule
• Advises maintenance manager and production supervisor of any PM work is not done as scheduled.
• Advises maintenance manager and production supervisor if any PM work reveals serious issues related to personal or equipment safety and immediately performs lock out.

• Works collaboratively with all employees, always remembering that the maintenance department services production.
• Seek counsel from the maintenance manager and plant manager when maintenance / production priorities conflict.
• Must be capable to learn and perform (Startup / Shut Down) procedures safely for the power plant based upon schedule and plant requirements.
• Notifies Level I technician or Lead Technician when maintenance supplies are low so that they can be replenished on time.
• Be creative about coming up with ideas for improvements.
• Participate in Maintenance meetings collaboratively.
• Attend Safety Meetings as directed.
• Any other duties as assigned or deemed necessary.

DECISIONS THE INCUMBENT MUST SEEK APPROVAL FOR PRIOR TO EXECUTION:

• Routine daily decisions (Pulling Jams, Wax/Clean Ironers, Change Belts, Casic Lubrication s, Safe Machine Operation s LOTO.

DECISIONS THE INCUMBENT MAY DECIDE AND EXECUTE WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL:

• As directed and empowered by the Maintenance and Plant Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

• The ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without an accommodation.
• Trade / Technical school degree or certification preferred or a minimum of 3 years in a maintenance related position.
• Proficient knowledge application knowledge of: electrical motors and motor controllers, wiring single and three phase components, ability to read and comprehend electrical schematics, and good mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent communicator.
• Excellent work-related history Punctual
• Has succeeded at a job that required significant attention to detail and follow through.
• Must have dependable transportation and to be able to work at any of the regional plants or move between plants during the work shift based upon the needs of the company.
• The ability to speak and read English proficiently.
