Corporate Paralegal Needed
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Located at the Crown Corporate office in Yardley, PA, the paralegal will help support the legal team in a variety of ways:
• Manage life cycle of litigation asbestos complaints in internal database including opening and assigning claim numbers, assign and coordinate with outside counsel, review and process settlements and dismissals.
• Review and organize superfund site files including coordinating with outside counsel and third-party administrators as well record keeping including payments into participating responsible party groups.
• Maintain records for multiple political action committees (“PAC”) including coordinate with outside counsel for quarterly and yearly filings, prepare and issue checks, maintain and reconcile Quicken account of PAC contributions and disbursements.
• Coordinate with counsel regarding tort reform legislation including communications with state lobbyists, preparing presentations for testimonies before state committees, organizing travel to individual states, disseminate information to necessary parties.
• General contract review and negotiation. Develop and maintain clause library.
• Organize and coordinate national asbestos conference for outside counsel in different US cities.
• Administrative Duties: Attend safety meetings as team representative including CPR training, member of the Wellness team for yearly corporate events, open and distribute mail, organize, and arrange corporate travel and third-party conference attendance for attorneys and CLE courses, order and inventory office supplies, general office administrative duties and responsibilities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
* BA or BS preferred
* 4 years of experience in a corporate legal department or in a law firm. Specific experience with drafting and reviewing contracts and litigation preferred.
* Computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database management.
* Composition and proof-reading skills
* Knowledge of legal terminology.
* Good communications skills and ability to interact with employees, vendors, and outside counsel.
* Must be well organized with attention to detail.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong computer searching skills
