JOB SUMMARY
This position works with managers and employees across all departments to carry out procedures ensuring an efficient check in and check out process and enable complete Guest Satisfaction.
Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocates sound financial/business decision making; demonstrates honesty/integrity; leads by example.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
- Assists in the supervision of the Team as well as managing all day-to-day operations. Understanding employee positions well enough to perform duties in employees' absence.
- Ensures employee recognition is taking place on all shifts.
- Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with employees.
- Ensures compliance with all Front Office, management, and brand policies, standards and procedures.
- Displays outstanding hospitality and service recovery skills. Empowers employees to communicate, make decisions and take action when necessary.
- Handles complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.
- Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work goals.
- Collaborates with the Front Office Manager on ways to continually improve departmental service and communication.
- Communicates a clear and consistent message regarding the goals to produce desired results.
- Displays outstanding hospitality and service recovery skills.
- Participates in the development and implementation of corrective action plans based on review of comment cards and guest satisfaction results.
- Provides services that are above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention.
- Improves service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs, providing guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed.
- Serves as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors. Sets a positive example for guest relations.
- Empowers employees to communicate, make decision and take action when necessary.
- Ability to develop, correct, enhance, and provide feedback to employees based on observation of service behaviors.
- Strong ability to communicate effectively and clearly in verbal, written, and electronic formations.
- Informs and/or updates the Executives Committee, and departments on relevant information in a timely manner. Participates in department meetings.
- Functions in place of the Front Office Manager and GM in his/her absence.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3 years’ experience is mandatory or better. Experience working in a union environment a plus.
- Opera experience is a must.
- Strong capabilities to work in a heavy volume environment.
- Flexibility with schedules, must have availability to work weekends and holidays.
- Cash and credit card handling experience.
- MS Office proficient.
- Problem resolution capabilities.
- Ability to always maintain professionalism.
- Strong verbal & written communication skills.
- this position requires weekend, evening, and holiday scheduling.
