What are the responsibilities and job description for the Storeroom Aide position at Crozer Health?
*Ensures all deliveries are received and stored in a prompt and efficient manner to maintain that the food is stored at the proper temperature as quickly as possible and hallways and exits are clear of deliveries. |
*Accurately checks in, all non-food purchases. |
*Maintains a systematic arrangement of food and non-food items in storage areas, i.e., freezer, refrigerators and storeroom. |
*Ensures that all food items are rotated to prevent spoilage. |
*Keeps the Kitchen Manager or Associate Director informed regarding out of stock items, discrepancies in orders and over-supply of items. |
*Maintains all safety and sanitation standards of the department and Hospital. |
*Informs Storeroom Coordinator or Associate Director of possible food shortages. |
*Detects and takes corrective action concerning defective and damaged merchandise and reports unusual conditions to Storeroom Coordinator or Associate Director. |
*Maintains all storage areas including Walk-in Freezer, Walk-in Refrigerators, Paper Storage and Soda Storage. |
