What you will do:
  • Data champion: Be a champion for technology, data quality, integrity and reliability
  • Individual contributor:
    • Support the development, governance, quality, standards and testing of the data systems Work independently to design data solutions that follow industry standards
    • Provide guidance and develop processes for cleansing, ETL and verifying the integrity of data used internally to support the business
    • Research new technologies and topologies that best fit the growth of the business
    • Perform ETL to move data between a variety of systems and formats, including APIs
  • Technology leadership: Research, implement and make recommendations on new technologies to improve our current processes and create new and innovative ones
  • Development leadership: be a thought developer and go-to expert for data development processes as well as corporate data strategies and long-term vision
  • Project management: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, manage the distribution of work, test cases, and ensure the timely completion of project deliverables.
  • Technical expertise: Provide technical guidance and design including best practices for data development, ETL pipelines, and deployment.
  • Communication: Communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences in a clear and compelling way through project write-ups, presentations, and meetings.
  • Technology research: Research and make recommendations on the adoption of new tools for data strategies, data solutions and code management.
  • Research and solve problems quickly and accurately. Assist other team members and other departments by responding to requests
  • Provide “best in class” customer service to our internal customers
  • Self-manage priorities and self-source resources
  • Readily adapt to change and integrate new knowledge, policies, procedures, and regulations in our fast-paced and constantly improving environment
  • Share expertise and their own best practices
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in an associated field of study or the equivalent years of experience
  • 5 years relevant experience
  • Data architecture and solutions experience
  • Database design experience
  • SQL 5 years of experience
  • Cloud database experience
  • ETL solution and architecture experience
  • Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing
