Crunchyroll COVID-19 Hiring Status

About The Team
Your love for anime, and pop culture pushes you to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be an excellent teammate. The Brand Management team expects that our streaming and other omni-channels enjoy healthy growth to scale and engage, are attractive to licensors and their representatives, are credible with audiences, and set the pace for the rest of the industry. The position requires strong partnership and collaboration with our creators/licensors in Japan, and global teams in marketing, communications, content, business development, and product.
About You:
- 2- 3 years of work experience
- 1 year of partnership management and cross functional department experience
- Strong time management skills; you should be able to keep track of multiple projects in various stages of completion and progress
- Well organized and detailed oriented, you’re self driven and own and handle your tasks without intervention
- Ability to be flexible and to change directions quickly, able to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment and deal with ambiguity
- Understanding of working with partners from different cultural backgrounds, particularly Japanese business culture
- Be a great teammate and understand that everyone plays a role on the team, and also works together to help one another out
- Be proactive, with an optimistic demeanor, You like to learn new things and look into better ways of making tasks more efficient. You’re also not afraid to ask questions when needed.
- Be comfortable stretching and learning outside of your defined role, open to taking on new challenges and seeking tasks outside of your comfort zone
- You’re a great communicator, able to be both professional and flexible when working with business partners and internal teams. Being able to write professionally is a plus.
- Proficient in either Mac or PC, comfortable navigating software outside of Microsoft Office / Google Apps suites.
- Experience using content delivery software (Aspera, SFTP, etc) and CMS backend systems a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree
- A plus if you are fluent in Japanese and you can communicate effectively with Japanese-speaking partners, both in written and verbal communication
A day in the life of our Associate Brand Manager, Brand Management:
- Know your assigned brands thoroughly to enable strong marketing collaborations that resonate with the brand.
- Be the key point of contact for the brand’s licensor for requests. Provide periodic updates for new and existing brands to each partner. Proactively update changes to exploitation strategy and rationale behind the change.
- Lead all aspects of the exploitation and use of brand’s likeness by coordinating internal approvals & external approvals with Licensors when necessary.
- Coordinate marketing promotions for respective Licensors and their associated talent at events / conventions.
- Document team processes on Confluence and keep existing documentation up to date
- Be responsible for pulling and compiling viewership data and other reporting metrics for content partners on both a regular and ad-hoc basis
- Work with other departments to acquire promotional data for monthly reports
- Support the Brand Management team with various administrative and operational duties and day to day operations as-needed
