Job Summary
The Project Contract Manager (PCM) is responsible for the planning, coordinating, and maintaining finances related to arena projects and operating budgets. The Project Contract Manager will participate in the conceptual development of projects and assist with organization, scheduling, and implementation. The PCM will coordinate and manage the financial progress on both CIP and CAPEX accounts and will administer contracts of various third party vendors.
Job Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties
- Collaborates with Management Team members and contractors to ensure all contract parameters are adhered to.
- Owns back of house updates and communications to HSE related to projects, maintenance, and major equipment
- Responsible for the accurate financial record keeping and reconciliation of Capital and CIP accounts with both the Hornets and City of Charlotte
- Acting project manager on assigned capital projects and operational improvements
- Responds to inquiries about projects, contracts and associated financial records
- Establishes relationships and acts as liaison as required with the Charlotte Hornets, City of Charlotte, CMR and architects
- Develop project budgets and track all spending and prepares timely reports regarding financial status.
- Manage RFP, RFQ or other purchasing processes
- Responsible for purchase orders and timely invoice submittals for capital and facility projects
- Supports the management of Aware Manager program - the building maintenance software program
- Acts as administrator on various assigned contracts and overall responsibility for building service and maintenance contract
- Participation of the Arena Green Committee
- Participation of the Arena Safety Committee
- Participation in CRVA wide committees
- Act as CRVA manager on duty for small/internal events as assigned
- May perform other duties as required.

Scope of Responsibility
- This job has budgetary responsibilities.
- This job will have periodic access to confidential data including financial statements, company records and/or minutes, customer quotes, and company plans, designs, and programs.
Supervisory Responsibility
- This position will involve project management which will require directing project related activities through project team members.

- To accomplish work activities, PCM must be able to coordinate or lead employees among different levels of the organization.
Education and Experience
Associate degree in business, contract or project management or other related fields and a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in contract/budget management or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands
- The employee must regularly move up to 20 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision. While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. Works nights and weekends as needed
Work Environment
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Travel Required
- May have to travel to other CRVA facilities.
