Perform ski run hazard evaluation and marking and sweep clear of guests at closing. Engage with guests to educate and enforce the skier’s responsibility code, and other safe skiing practices. Perform signage and tower pad maintenance Assist with accident investigation when needed Provide a welcoming, friendly, and helpful environment for a positive guest experience Perform avalanche mitigation duties and be an effective avalanche team partner Occasionally assist with lift operations and maintenance as needed. KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS Must be 21 years of age or greater Must possess the following certifications: EMT, OEC or WFR AIARE Recreational Level 1 Avalanche Course Must be able to maintain reliable means of telephone notification when not at work Physical dexterity, strength and ability to ski at a proficient level in all conditions. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS This position may be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays. Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 50 pounds on an occasional basis. Auditory and visual acuity to operate computers, phones, mobile devices and basic office equipment on an occasional basis. Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, skiing, pushing and pulling on an occasional basis. Ability to work outside in harsh environmental conditions for extended periods of time. Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
