Position Summary
The Creative Services and Content Specialist will contribute to the ideation and graphic design of compelling content and lead the delivery of creative projects across all marketing channels and departments at Crystal Mountain Ski Resort. The primary focus will be on creating designs and content to support all brand and product initiatives, the brand presence across the mountain, including signage and interior design consultation, and across all communication channels; ensuring they align with our strategic objectives and maintain brand consistency. This role is a key player in annual brand planning and budgeting by assessing annual and ongoing content needs, creating a plan to deliver those needs and assigning out/project managing content needs from vendors and third-party agencies for those that cannot be filled internally by this role.
This position will work collaboratively with colleagues within the Marketing, Sales, Events, Partnerships and Communications Department as well as cross functional departments across the resort (Food & Beverage, Rentals, Retail, etc.) as well as the leadership team and other decision-makers to plan, develop and produce creative, high-quality marketing and guest engagement materials.
This role's primary function is to provide graphic design services and deliver content solutions in digital and physical mediums to support marketing and communications objectives at Crystal Mountain Ski Resort.

Essential Duties
- Occasionally refresh, maintain, follow and enforce brand guidelines.
- Contribute to the ideation and creation of innovative brand campaigns and individual deliverables within a campaign that resonate with target audiences and align with the company's strategic goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of brand messaging and design standards across various channels.
- Continually assess work, be open to feedback and ongoing optimization.
- Design graphics for digital ads, resort signage, posters, presentation slides, banners, newsletters, brochures, flyers, email templates, text content creation, social media and other materials as requested.
- Occasionally perform headline copywriting, location photography, create illustrations and design and construct visual displays and exhibits.
- Experience working with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign as well as a working knowledge of commercial printing processes is required.
- Knowledge of social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram), and ability to quickly master applications such as Asana.
- Operates various graphic design equipment such as graphic computers, cameras and printing equipment.
- Confers with internal clients and team members to align on a project brief, including project goals, budget and timeline as well as critical project details such as print specifications, graphic content, physical production and other requirements.
- Ensures consistent communication and timeliness of deliverables and coordinates directly with internal and cross functional departments, keeping direct manager and VP up to date through macro weekly project status updates.
- Writes bid specifications for jobs assigned to external vendors; coordinates production of materials with external vendors by monitoring jobs in progress, resolving technical problems, proofing material and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Creates system for department asset organization and content library.
- Maintains department files of completed assignments with an organized, systematic method.
- Demonstrated knowledge of marketing practices and principles
- Evidence of effective communication skills.
- Experience in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with direct team and cross functional departments.
- Experience working with Adobe Product Suites and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in video editing and taking and processing photos.
- Experience in strategic communication planning.
- Experience in principles, concepts and practices of project management
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in advertising and/or marketing experience in a corporate brand or ad agency role.
- Experience leading projects with cross-functional teams from different departments.
- Demonstrate a growth mindset and be open to feedback and daily optimization.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with modest supervision.
- Ability to work under deadline pressure and handle many projects at once.
- Project management and problem-solving skills a must.
- Ability to think creatively and big picture while aligning brand and company goals.
- Ability to own the brand identity of Crystal and, when speaking from or positioning, exclude any personal views, beliefs, or opinions that do not fall within the brand guidelines.
- Advanced user with Microsoft Office suite (specifically Excel and PowerPoint).
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in advertising and/or marketing in a corporate brand or ad agency role.
- Experience in hospitality, travel or experiential brand strongly preferred.
