Certification Specialist for Food Safety and Sanitation

Job Summary: Provides strong knowledge of Food Safety industry requirements with related experience in the related product and material standards including but not limited to: Food Service and Refrigerators & Storage Freezers (NSF-7), Commercial Cooking (NSF-4), Food Service Equipment (NSF-2), Manual Food and Beverage Dispensing Equipment (NSF-18), Special Purpose Food Equipment (NSF-169), and Automatic Ice Making Equipment (NSF-12).  Provides high quality certification, testing and field evaluation services which meets the clients’ needs in the most efficient and effective manner possible, while ensuring safe products are available in the public marketplace. This activity requires interpretation of standards, processes, and procedures.  The position will also work closely with the Principal Technical Lead to develop training, develop and assess staff technical expertise and related standard development activities. Develops working relationships with Authorities Having Jurisdiction to ensure all city, state or regional code requirements are met.  Makes technical decisions based on a high degree of knowledge, training and experience on certification and testing to maintain the integrity of CSA’s global certification programs.
