Job Title: Clinical Product Manager II
Contract Length: 6 months plus extensions
Location: South San Francisco, CA, US.

Early Clinical Development (ECD) department is looking for a Product Manager with a passion to provide analytics solutions and insights. The product manager reports to the lead of gRED Predictive Analytics (gPA). The gPA group supports Clinical Operations study teams and management by applying business intelligence, data science, predictive analytics, and operational analytics to make informed data driven decisions in operational execution of a clinical trial. As a Product Manager, you will apply your deep curiosity and passion for using data to improve clinical operations outcomes. The Product Manager owns the success metrics and roadmap for a product, while driving strategy aligned to business objectives, defining and delivering outcomes, and leading effective collaboration across an integrated team of stakeholders. You will be accountable for product(s) vision, strategy, roadmap, and end-to-end product lifecycle. You will interact with business stakeholders to understand business needs; create and maintain the product vision and success metrics; develop, vet, prioritize and interpret customer and data insights; define, scope and validate product priorities; gather insights, identify required data sets (internal/external, operational/clinical/RWD), test critical assumptions via research, prototyping & POCs; during production, lead definition and continual iteration of the product roadmap, coordinate backlog prioritization and sprint planning with stakeholders and technical teams; monitor and facilitate critical communication so as to deliver successful predictive analytics solutions for our stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
Execute on analytics and data science product priorities to build solutions utilizing diverse data to support clinical operations decision making
Define and research analytics and data science applications within current and future product functionality to support analytics roadmap
Translate strategic and operational priorities into defined user stories, recommend priorities to drive overall business success, and engage with project and engineering teams to develop and deliver solutions on time while maintaining product backlog and supporting sprint planning
Translates by creating business needs into clearly defined and detailed high-quality requirements documentation, functional designs, and supplemental system specification
Work with multiple internal stakeholders to intake and prioritize data/analysis requests, scope and define detailed requirements for technical build teams
Coordinate prioritization with stakeholders and technical teams
Define the dataset criteria to meet success criteria by selecting the appropriate data type and the specific sets to use
Partner across teams to help to define and validate key product KPIs (benchmark metric and/or acceptance criteria) to enhance value proposition
Review and evaluate impact metrics against pre-defined success criteria
Work to promote data and analytics solution literacy across the organization to drive data adoption rates while evaluating opportunities for collaboration

Qualification / Experience
5 years' of product experience in Biotech/Pharmaceutical/healthcare (preferably healthcare data)
In-depth understanding of drug development business processes, including Phase I-II drug development with 3 years of experience in clinical development
Proficiency with product management concepts and practices, articulating product concepts to groups of developers (e.g. storyboarding, mind mapping, use case development, etc.)
Experience working with the principles and techniques of data analysis, interpretation, and assessment of clinical relevance
A roll up your sleeves attitude with the agility to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment with fluid initiatives and priorities
Ability to lead large and complex cross-functional multi-disciplinary teams or strategic business initiatives
An entrepreneurial attitude and excitement to build a new product offering with focus on continuous delivery through collaboration, and bringing people together to work towards the same purpose across organizational boundaries.
Posses in-depth knowledge of real-world data assets, evaluate emerging datasets and technologies that may contribute to existing analytical platforms
Ability to build relationships and rapport with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders
Understanding and experience with agile/scrum development methodologies
Lead or coordinate technical and vendor discussions
Skilled at presenting business-relevant findings and recommendations and action plans to senior leadership
An established network of contacts in key technology, RWD vendors, academia, and Biopharma companies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills which contribute to a strong, collaborative team-oriented environment
Knowledge of the pharmaceutical/biotech clinical development process is a plus

Education & Technical Skills
Bachelor or advanced degree in the field of life science, medical science, engineering, or business
3 years' experience in data access, and programming languages including SQL, PL/SQL in clinical / EMR Data
Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Data Studio,Tableau, Power BI, etc.
Experience with requirements documentation writing
Basic knowledge of Python and other data science tools
Knowledge of cloud computing and database technologies
Knowledge and experience in data science concepts and predictive analytics modeling approaches is a plus
