We are seeking a highly motivated and self-reliant IT Systems Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a knack for creative problem-solving and a demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as with a team. They should possess a deep understanding of Windows server environments, hardware/infrastructure, as well as a strong understanding of Citrix virtual desktops and Cisco UCS. A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and resolve technical issues in our Windows server environments, Citrix virtual desktops, hardware/infrastructure, Cisco UCS, and storage appliances.
- Utilize creative problem-solving skills to address challenges efficiently and independently.
- Assist in architecting, building, and maintaining the company's Windows server infrastructure in a VMware virtualized environment.
- Provide administration of the Citrix environment, including Citrix NetScalers, StoreFront servers, Delivery Controllers, and Provisioning servers.
- Provide help desk support to end-users, which includes but not limited to account setup, troubleshooting, and assistance with virtual desktop connectivity and useability.
- Configure and implement Center Internet Security (CIS) Controls and ensure compliance.
- Manage and configure Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS).
- Provide senior technical support and guidance to other IT analysts and support staff with Active Directory, Group Policies, Office 365, and other critical enterprise applications.
- Support critical processes including backups, monitoring of servers and services, patching and key upgrades.
- Recognize repeated problems or trends and troubleshoot and solve for the root cause.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation.
- Provide network design and support to include LAN, WAN, and VPN in a Cisco environment is a plus.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to learning and mastering new technologies quickly.
- Contribute ideas and recommendations for the adoption of emerging technologies.
- Provide on-call support as needed to address urgent technical challenges.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5 years of experience implementing and supporting Windows server environments, hardware/infrastructure, Cisco UCS, and storage.
- 5 years of experience supporting and administrating Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, AD FS, and AD Certificate Services.
- Must have a track record of successful independent problem-solving and project execution.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a creative and innovative approach.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical issues.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Knowledge and experience administering common server and network hardware, including iSCSI, storage devices (SAN/NAS), firewalls, routers, and switches a plus.
- Experience with Center for Internet Security (CIS) benchmarks and ability to configure and implement CIS Controls.
- Ability to work with PowerShell, specifically PowerShell for Office 365, is desired.
- In-depth knowledge of IT security principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, Citrix) are a plus.
