Overview
The Fully Remote Transfer Evaluation Specialist supports the university mission by providing accurate and timely evaluations on the transferability of credits to our students. This individual is responsible for evaluating all types of credits and experiences for transferability, including traditional college credits, military credits as well as assessing nontraditional credits (ACE, CLEP, DSST and corporate training) based on university policy to recommend for admissions decisions. The Specialist will work closely with faculty, when required, seeking recommendations for possible transfer of alternative credit.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES● Completes unofficial and official transfer estimates for prospective students. ● Completes official transcript evaluations for new and returning students. ● Evaluates different credits and experiences for transferability including traditional college credits, military credits, and nontraditional credits such as ACE, CLEP, DSST and corporate training. ● Maintains data integrity of Degree Audits, SIS and Registrar systems used for transfer evaluation.● Completes program change and degree audit updates.● Responds to department inquiries and emails.● Complies with all company policies and procedures.● Maintain the highest level of ethical standard and confidentiality in the execution of all duties performed.● Other duties as assigned and needed.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES● Strong knowledge of FERPA and accreditation standards.● Demonstrated knowledge of undergraduate and graduate transfer policies.● Carries out duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines.● Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.● Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work - Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work. ● Time Management - Managing one's own time and the time of others.● Complex Problem Solving - Identifying complex problems and researching and/or reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options to implement solutions to a problem.● Judgment and Decision Making - Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.● Deductive Reasoning - The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense. ● Inductive Reasoning - The ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).● Database user interface – Comfortability using technology and is adaptable to quickly learning new software.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE● Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university required. ● Two (2) years of experience working in an institution of higher education.● Two (2) years of direct experience evaluating transcripts, military credits, alternative credits and corporate training.

Salary: $38,000 - $42,000
