What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Engineer position at CSWI w/Subsidiaries?
Job Responsibilities:
- Develops new Reliability products, makes changes to existing products, and sources products and components from outside vendors to drive sales growth in the business
- Creates Solidworks Models, drawings, & documentation support for the company’s products. Works with internal resources and vendors to create new product prototypes. Tests and evaluates performance of units.
- Scales up production with external vendors and internal resources as needed. Provides product details and specifications to marketing and product management for launch
- Supports Reliability products (Air Sentry & OilSafe) quality standards and specifications; establishes tolerances, specifies finishes, RAL specifications, quality tests, and continuous improvement efforts
- Completes product set up in the ERP system for launch
Essential Skills, Education & Experience:
- Associates of Bachelor’s degree
- Previous experience as a Design Engineer or a similar role 5 years
- Must be proficient with Solidworks and PDM vault.
- 5 years’ experience with sheet metal & steel fabrication.
- 5 years’ experience with Microsoft Office
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving skills
