Job Summary CSX is seeking a highly qualified leader for the position of Head of Marketing, who will serve on the company’s executive leadership team. This is a mission-critical role that will help define CSX's future in the marketplace and contribute substantially to the company’s growth mission. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading marketing efforts and crafting and executing the marketing strategy. This will include leading a collaborative team in the development of innovative solutions to solve customers’ biggest challenges, as well as identifying obstacles and developing timely strategies and action plans to meet sustainable growth and customer satisfaction objectives. The Head of Marketing will be responsible for managing a $6.5 billion revenue portfolio. Primary Activities and Responsibilities - Support all customer-facing aspects of a 6.5B revenue portfolio. - Team leadership: Lead, manage, and mentor experienced marketing professionals - Develop and implement value-added supply chain services for CSX's market expansion strategy - Keen focus on diversity and inclusion to develop talent and strengthen the company's culture - Marketing Strategy: Develop and implement marketing strategies aligned with growth - Market & competitive intelligence: Understand marketplace trends, competition, and competitive positioning - Create innovative ways to drive and expand wallet share within existing accounts and develop new capabilities to attract new accounts - Set marketing strategies and programs to achieve financial targets - Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree - 10 or more years of experience in strategic marketing for growth; logistics or supply chain management experience preferred - 5 or more years of executive-level leadership and talent-management experience Knowledge and Skills - Proven success generating global sales and marketing practices to identify new markets and expand wallet share with existing customers - Strategic mindset - Demonstrated and proven leadership in business acumen, critical thinking and ability to navigate, facilitate and influence internal/external stakeholders - Cross-functional leader comfortable working with senior-level executives; resilient decision-maker who is highly collaborative - Self-motivated, proactive, responsive - Ability to think strategically but also willing to dig into the details and tactics when needed Leadership The CSX Leadership Model is the foundation of our Talent Strategy and is what drives CSX performance.
