What are the responsibilities and job description for the Horse Caretaker position at CT Valley Equine Vet Service?
Horse farm help needed for private backyard barn. Current opening is Tuesday and Thursday late afternoon/evening (start time is flexible but must include feeding dinner in the 5-7pm range). Clean stalls and paddocks, put hay bales into raised feeder, check water, feed grain (sometimes requires handling horses), sweep, etc. Must be reliable, be able to lift 50lbs repeatedly (grain bags and hay bales), be confident and comfortable around very large (draft) horses (currently 4 of them). About 1.5 hours of work in all weather conditions. Also looking for AM help for feeding only, short-term (about a month), about 20 minutes of work in the 6-8am range. Horse experience preferred but may consider a confident learner.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
