Position Title: Data Reporting Analyst
Hybrid Work Model
Pay Rate: Up to $61 per hour, Based on Experience
Position Summary:
We are looking for a Data Reporting Analyst with at least three years of experience to support multiple business initiatives in support of the execution of various projects. The position requires a balance of analytical skills, with strong project and task management. The candidate must be able to provide accurate, quality analyses of existing and new program applications, as well as to conduct testing, locate potential problems, and solve them in an efficient manner. Candidate must understand business processes, analyze how well applications and IT system align with business needs.
Candidate must have project management experience, knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel and Visio or any other UML tool, SQL programming language, JAVA, HTML, report building. A strong analytical abilities and communication skills are also essential. Relevant work experience in system applications quality assurance will be beneficial
Responsibilities:
- Manages complex projects from design and development to production.
- Identifies and solves project issues
- Creates data models and written reports
- Strong communication (written, presentation and verbal) skills.
- Financial Report Writing (SQL), Access DB, PowerBI, Tableau
- Working knowledge of relational databases, SQL, financial applications
- Understanding of Accounting/Finance Principles (Government background preferred)
- Analytical/Problem solving background
- Working with end users to gather and document requirements
- Designing and maintaining data systems and databases; this includes fixing coding errors and other data-related problems.
- Mining data from primary and secondary sources, then reorganizing said data in a format that can be easily read by either human or machine.
- Using statistical tools to interpret data sets, paying particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts.
- Demonstrating the significance of their work in the context of local, national, and global trends that impact both their organization and industry.
- Preparing reports for executive leadership that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
- Collaborating with programmers, engineers, and organizational leaders to identify opportunities for process improvements, recommend system modifications, and develop policies for data governance.
- Creating appropriate documentation that allows stakeholders to understand the steps of the data analysis process and duplicate or replicate the analysis if necessary
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in the following MS Project, MS Office
- Structured Query Language (SQL)
- Strong Critical Thinking and Presentation Skills.
- Strong Data Visualization and Machine Learning
- Skilled in R or Python-Statistical Programming.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Writing, Finance, Management or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of project management or IT Management.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience coordinating and/supporting IT business processes
- PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or equivalent preferred
- Former local, state, federal government experience preferred
