Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Procurement Specialist to be a point person for supporting/collaborating the solicitation and preparation of Request for Quotations (RFQs), and Request for Information (RFIs) consistent with Procurement Policy and contract requirements.
This job can be in one of our three offices: Farmington Hills, Akron, OH or Oak Ridge, TN
- Create and execute Purchase Orders in SharePoint/Costpoint consistent with procurement policies and contract requirements.
- Coordinating with Accounting on vendor credit applications, W-9’s, ACH’s.
- Audit subcontract files to ensure the presence of current Certificates of Insurance, W-9 forms, Vendor Certifications, Health and Safety Documents, and ACH Authorization.
- Research and further develop a list/database of qualified preferred suppliers.
- Facilitate closeout tasks, such as reconciling final payments, collaborating with accounting assistants to obtain waivers and releases.
- Harmonize Project Certified Payroll requirements with the Accounting Department upon contract awards.
- Ensure proactive follow-ups with Subcontractors for Weekly Certified Payroll reporting.
- Partner with Project Managers to document vendor performance ratings.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Support management with company fleet administration – including monthly vehicle inspection reports, updating mileage in data base, coordinating vehicle transfers/assignments.
- Special projects as needed.
Qualifications include:
- 1-3 years of experience in procurement role; preferably within the defense industry

Salary : $45,700 - $57,900
