Health & Safety Representative
Location: Idaho Falls, ID
Since 1976, CTI has evolved from a small construction testing and geotechnical engineering firm into a full-service contractor offering environmental, remediation and construction services to Federal, Industrial, and State/Local Government clients across the US. Responsibilities
- Responsible for the safety and occupational health management, surveillance, inspections and safety enforcement on the project construction site.
- Conduct daily safety meetings prior to work commencement as well as construction site orientation/etc.
- Conduct site safety and health inspections and maintain written log.
- Manage, implement and enforce the Safety and Health Program in accordance with the accepted Accident Prevention Plan for both CTI and each subcontractor's company.
- Complete daily reports as necessary to send to client, Project Manager and corporate office.
- Conduct mishap investigations and complete required reports.
- Maintain the OSHA Form 300 and Daily Production reports for prime and subcontractors.
- Maintain applicable safety reference material on the job site.
- Implement and enforce accepted APPs and AHAs.
- Maintain a safety and health deficiency tracking system that monitors outstanding deficiencies until resolution.
- Write safety proposals, interpret regulations, develop training, draft inspection standards and draft safety assessment tools.
- Conduct any necessary onsite construction safety training as needed.
- Other reasonable directives, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum of 5 years with primary responsibilities of job site safety.
- 40 HR HAZWOPER and any applicable 8-hour refreshers required.
- Fix based air monitoring experience required.
- Current CPR/First Aid Training preferred.
- 30-hour OSHA construction safety class or equivalent within the last 5 years preferred.
- OSHA 500 trainer certification preferred.
- Familiarity with EM 385-1-1 would be a preferred.
- Experience in federal and/or military construction preferred.
- Occasional travel.
- Must receive a satisfactory pre-hire drug screen and background check.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
- Must be able to physically navigate construction sites.
