Clinical Systems Analyst
Job Purpose / Summary
The Clinical Systems Analyst is responsible for planning, implementing, and supporting projects related to clinical information systems and applications. This includes participating in developing workflows, configuring systems, updating documentation, and training of and supporting systems and general staff on application functionality. The Clinical Systems Analyst will work collaboratively with Operations staff, Quality Assurance (QA), and other applicable departments to develop, maintain, and enhance processes, and to integrate clinical systems throughout clinical teams at CTI. The Clinical Systems Analyst serves as liaison to all CTI functional departments and to external organizations, sponsor representatives, and vendors for clinical systems application services.
What You'll Do
Apply skills and knowledge of clinical systems and applications in support of assigned applications and expectations
Identify source of problems, such as system, training, or process, and recommends and initiate appropriate corrections in cooperation with other team members, vendors, sponsors, and end users
Train Clinical Operations staff and end users on new technologies and enhancements
Guide Clinical Operations staff and users through complex application functionality
Analyze issues and problems reported by users and identify technology solutions
Participate in new system implementations and upgrades to ensure continuity of applications and system output
Provide high-level customer service, promptly responding to end user requests for support, including troubleshooting, problem solving, report development, training, or system enhancements and correction testing
Work with Information Technology (IT), QA and Clinical Operations departments to improve processes, increase accuracy, create efficiencies, and achieve overall goals of department(s) and CTI
Routinely meet with assigned departments / directors to discuss identified issues
What You'll Bring
2 years of experience working in clinical research environment
Experience working with clinical systems applications, such as Trial Interactive, Siebel CTMS, and Medidata CTMS
