CTI, Inc. is looking to hire a Part-time Transportation Dispatcher for our Marana/Tucson dispatch office.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, highly organized, and communicate effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, while providing drivers with the highest level of customer service. We are looking to fill various shifts for different divisions.
Hourly Pay: $16.00 - $17.50 DOE
Copper Division, work schedule: Friday, Saturday & Sunday 5:15 pm to 2:15 am
Dispatcher Job Requirements:
- Minimum of one (1) year of Dispatch experience in the transportation, logistics, or trucking industry preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience preferred.
- Area knowledge of Arizona & New Mexico.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Successfully pass pre-employment background screening & drug testing
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Accept customer orders and instructions for loading and delivery of commodities
- Establish sequence and delivery time of customer orders to meet shipping dates, loading location, and time of arrival for orders
- Coordinate and schedule qualified equipment to transport ordered commodities
- Plan and schedule drivers for delivery of loads
- Expedite operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
- Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs through shift notes of events for department reference
- Assist in keeping equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services with the company Maintenance Department
- Maintain communication with drivers through planning and monitoring, and informing the manager of job results
- Maintain a safe working environment by following company safety rules and regulations
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and time management in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to master new programs quickly.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules and regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to communicate information in verbal and written form, as well as the ability to listen to, and understand information conveyed verbally or in writing.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to divide with 10s and 100s; ability to perform mathematical functions using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- While performing the duties of this position, an employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, see, hear, and speak.
- While performing the duties of this position, an employee may occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals or substances.
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
