Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist
CTL Aerospace Inc. is a full service NADCAP certified composite-manufacturing company providing services to major aerospace and governmental affiliates specializing in the manufacturing of Fiber Reinforced Polymer Structures.
We are seeking a talented hands on, self-starting Environmental Health and Safety professional to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment at our northern Cincinnati, Ohio location.
As an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist, you will have a hands-on approach to safety in a manufacturing environment. This position reports to the EHS Manager.
The successful candidate will assist the EHS Manager with the following:
Job Requirements
- In coordination with the EHS Manager maintain all Safety, OSHA, and EPA compliances.
- Management of all safety training associated with OSHA and corporate goals.
- Review, input, and help maintain all MSDS sheets electronically.
- Help develop procedures and training for all safety related issues.
- Assist in managing all permits, reports, and applications for EPA.
- Help maintains records of RCRA hazardous waste disposal.
- Assist in conducting detailed investigations of existing and potential safety and health hazards and accidents making recommendations for corrective actions.
- Administer Bureau of Workers Compensation claims.
- Assist with employee health and safety orientation programs
- Help in the overall planning and installation of equipment relating to safety and the environment.
- Conduct new hire safety orientation.
- Help develop and conduct employee safety training programs.
- Manage the 6-S Program.
Job Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following minimal requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years Environmental Health and Safety experience in a manufacturing environment including Lockout Tagout and Storm Water assessment and Air Emissions reporting.
- Intermediate knowledge of Ohio’s EPA regulations and reporting.
- Ability to interact with people on the floor, good social skills, and able to work with diverse work groups.
- Working knowledge of Workers Compensation
- Organization and computer skills necessary. (MS Office)
- Must have excellent communication skills both written and oral.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
