General Duties
Working under a Building Engineer, a skilled maintenance worker is primarily in charge of maintaining building equipment and property. Performs basic remodeling and new constructions tasks including painting, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and builds warehouse partition racking.
Essential Duties
- Replaces light bulbs and repairs light fixtures as needed
- Changes furnace and air conditioner filters and belts; oils furnace and air conditioner motors quarterly
- Purchases minor tools and materials necessary to complete work orders
- Performs major and minor remodeling tasks like patching and painting walls
- Performs plumbing repairs and clears clog drains
- Replaces plumbing fixtures like toilets and faucets
- Keeps designated tool and equipment room clean and organized
- Keeps warehouse isles and building exterior clean and free of debris
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions. Work in cramped areas while performing facility maintenance/repairs. Work at elevations greater than ten feet while repairing or inspecting building structures (example: roof repairs, etc.). Climb ladders or steps to reach objects. Walk over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces. Move debris, dirt, furniture, or other materials
- Requires a standard Driver's License to travel to and from work sites
- Shall be subject to pre-employment or pre-placement alcohol, drug and/or controlled substance testing as well as criminal background checks.
Job Requirements
- Basic math and communication skills typically acquired through graduation from high school and two years’ experience in remodeling and new construction or maintenance of commercial or residential property
- Materials, methods and equipment used in remodeling and construction
- Basic maintenance and operation of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems
- Basic electrical and plumbing systems maintenance and repair
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
