Do you enjoy helping others? We’re looking for Diet Aides to assist meal distribution to patients. Along with providing service with a smile, you’ll be responsible for keeping the kitchen and dining area clean and organized. Responsibilities:
- Promote and provide a work environment of teamwork and respect amongst employees, integrity, world class customer service, financial responsibility, and continual pursuit of excellence.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining room including chairs, tables, trash receptacles, work areas, condiments and other areas determined by the supervisor.
- Maintain an organized and sanitized kitchen, including floors, trash, and dishes, and storage of delivery items.
- Ensure the kitchen, service areas, and surrounding areas are clean and free of debris, and arranged in a manner reviewed and approved by supervision.
- Ensure the removal of trash, waste, and spills in the dining room, serving areas and kitchen floors.
- Maintain efficient food station set up prior to scheduled food service time with appropriate equipment and food approved by supervision.
- Participate in receiving, unpacking, unwrapping, rotating, and stowing deliveries into appropriate refrigerators, freezers, and storerooms via supervisor's instructions.
- Ensure workstation is clean and sanitized at all times.
- Assist with production, merchandising, set up, and service of food under supervisor's direction.
- Assist with organization and replenishing of all service-related goods such as condiments, china, glassware and other related items.
- Assist with serving of menu items, designated by the supervisor, to the customer while providing exceptional customer service in a courteous, helpful, and friendly manner.
- Assemble menu items on tray line for customers’ regular and modified diets.
- Deliver food carts to units ensuring that all patients receive the proper tray along with collecting and returning carts at designated timeframe.
- Assist customers with specific menu inquiries.
- Provide service and ensure that proper service and clearing methods are utilized.
- Provide additional duties as determined by the supervisor.
Requirements
Our Ideal Candidate will have:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education
- One year of retail, customer service or food service experience preferred but not required
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand or walk continuously
- Ability to reach or bend frequently
- Ability to frequently lift or carry items of 10lbs or more
- Ability to occasionally lift items up to 50lbs
