The Controller will monitor and manage all account ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) standards and compliance requirements. Additionally, the Controller will establish financial and operational benchmarks, budgets, and reporting standards for RSW Holdings.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Submit all financial transactions, transmissions, and reporting on a timely and accurate basis.
  • Provide supervision, direction and training to all assigned personnel to ensure development of their full work potential.
  • Develop and maintain controls and reports to monitor business performance and aid senior management decision-making relating to product costing, variances, and contribution analysis.
  • Oversees the activities of the company’s accounting department for accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements and annual audits/ annual budgets.
  • Required to ensure timely processing of payroll, transferring accurate amount of funds to payroll service providers as needed.

 

 

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the Human Resources (HR) functions to ensure that all legal requirements are met by and Company’s HR policies; and practices are consistent with the desired Company’s values and culture. 
  • Provides effective leadership to the Accounting Department, accomplishing objectives aligned with Company goals.
  • Prepare monthly reports of results, monthly forecast annual operating plan and strategic planning.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

This position requires knowledge, skills and abilities equivalent to:

  • Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures for all locations, upholding Federal, State, and Local legal standards.
  • Advanced knowledge of current and future legislation regarding reporting standards.
  • Proven payroll experience with a focus on streamlining accounting processes.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must participate in our pre-employment background and drug screening process.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced busy environment.
  • Must have at least a Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years in Accounting/Finance leadership experience.
  • Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with customers and vendors.
