We are looking for a talented CRP Material Handler 1stshift to join our team specializing in Logistics for our Components Business Segment in North Charleston, NC.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Under some supervision, follow established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, perform system transactions and dispatch goods in a factory or warehouse. Receive incoming goods, check for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices. Accurately sort, label, store goods and arrange storage to optimize warehouse space. Pick, pack, and dispatch outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests or orders.
- Operates manual and automated equipment to pick, pack and ship product per the customer expectations.
- Follows all applicable standard work, work instruction/process documentation and established quality procedures.
- Communicates effectively with the assigned team and with all support teams.
- Maintains clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping tasks and machine cleaning tasks and performs planned operator care and maintenance tasks.
- Remains flexible and performs other miscellaneous duties, as required, to meet business goals.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
- Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product final distribution.
- Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area.
- Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.
- Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
- Documents materials and records units delivered and location of units.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
