Cura health is looking for a accountant to join our growing team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of payroll processing, including calculating and distributing employee salaries, benefits, and deductions.
- Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and
deadlines.
- Process accounts payable transactions, including reviewing invoices, obtaining approvals, and issuing payments.
- Perform general ledger accounting tasks, such as reconciling accounts, recording journal entries, and preparing financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management and stakeholders.
- Provide financial services to internal departments, such as budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
- Utilize Sage or similar accounting software to perform daily accounting tasks and generate reports.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and assist with audits.
- Perform accrual accounting to record expenses and revenues in the appropriate period.
Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Proven experience in payroll processing, tax preparation, and general ledger accounting.
- Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation and analysis.
- Proficiency in financial report writing and data analysis.
- Familiarity with Sage or similar accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
- Strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
