What are the responsibilities and job description for the Brand Ambassador (Part-Time) position at Curio Wellness?
The Curio Wellness Brand Ambassador is responsible for representing Missouri's newest cannabis brand and helping to achieve the Company’s annual market share growth goals.
The Brand Ambassador is responsible for visiting the dispensaries in their territory weekly to engage with dispensary agents and be reliable resource for information about products, as well as our family of brands.
Working closely with their dedicated Field Sales Representative, the Brand Ambassador will initiate, organize, and staff events, such as pop-ups, to assist dispensary partners with selling our products in their inventory.
Together they will develop plans that support lines of service, brand objectives and increased brand awareness to the Maryland market. On a regular basis, the Brand Ambassador will engage with dispensary agents and customers alike to provide product information as well as educate the cannabis community about our Curio’s mission, vision and values and why this should matter to them when choosing cannabis products.
The Brand Ambassador is also responsible for ensuring that marketing and merchandising collateral is delivered and installed successfully so that the Curio Wellness brand and our family of brands are displayed effectively to promote brand awareness.
The Brand Ambassador will also support the Curio Marketing team’s efforts to increase brand awareness at engagements and events outside of the retail stores, such as community centers, industry events, sponsorship opportunities, and more.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Support a Field Sales Representative in their territory by:
o Hosting a minimum of 8 pop-ups per month at the dispensaries in the region
o Understanding a dispensary’s inventory position and suggesting/organizing pop-ups designed to increase sell-through of specific products or product lines
o Deliver SWAG to dispensary staff, as needed
o Deliver gifts-with-purchase to dispensary to support a promotion, as needed
- Bi-weekly visits to each dispensary in region to:
o Deliver and install marketing materials and refresh existing materials, e.g. brochures, postcards, stickers, etc.
o Monitor and correct, as needed, the use of digital marketing materials and print collateral in-store so it meets the guidelines provided by CW Marketing Team
o Assist dispensary partner with merchandising dummy packaging, printed educational materials, and uploading digital marketing assets to dispensary’s displays and online menu, upon request.
o Develop a rapport and trust with dispensary management
o Develop a rapport and trust with dispensary agents; the Brand Ambassador should be seen as an educational resource and trusted expert on cannabis product knowledge
o Solicit dispensary agents for product feedback
o Identify opportunities to offer budtender training or samples to improve staff’s product knowledge
- Schedule and staff a minimum of 8 pop-ups at dispensary locations to meet patients, solicit product feedback, collect e-mail addresses for CW distribution list, distribute product information, and gifts-with-purchase.
- Offer quarterly brand trainings to dispensary staff to ensure dispensary agents understand the tenants of Curio Wellness, Dixie, Fuzed, Kaviar, Mary’s Medicinals and Smokiez products.
- Observe and communicate new products and market information to Field Sales Representative
- Observe and communicate marketing initiatives by competitor brands to Marketing Manager, Curio Wellness Brands
- Create content and post to a dedicated IG account for CW Brand Ambassador team
- Represent Curio Wellness at cannabis industry events and activations
- Represent Curio Wellness at non-cannabis events and activations
- Assist with setup and staffing at large-scale, multi-day, sponsorship events
- Memorialize dispensary visits and activities in Field Sales & Marketing CRM
- Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree (BA, BS) or equivalent job-related experience.
Other Qualifications:
- 3 years’ experience in cannabis, pharmaceutical or consumer product goods marketing
- Proven ability to build customer and consumer relationships in support of brand and product awareness
- Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills
- Experience with field marketing software or customer relationship management software
- Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative, and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulness.
- Adapts and thrives in a demanding, fast-paced environment
- Personal vehicle and ability to drive to dispensaries in designated territory as well as to HQ weekly for General Sales Meeting
- Existing knowledge of the cannabis market preferred
- Excellent communication skills, particularly verbal, including strong presentation skills
- Flex schedule-this position requires availability to work evenings and weekends
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Deals with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and sound judgment
