What are the responsibilities and job description for the Helper Scale position at Cutrale Citrus Juices USA, Inc.?
Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities
Weigh in and out all trucks. Prepare and arrange tickets according to date and time received. Unload oldest fruit first. Visually check to se that sales and printer are working properly.
Ensure sufficiency of all supplies. Coordinate start-up time with unloading and be prepared for the first load to be picked up. Log and maintain accurate records of all fruit received,
unloaded, run and damaged. Match load numbers with correct tickets. Inform shift foreman and fruit buyer of any fruit rejected by the state inspector. Communicate with suppliers and
truck drivers in a courteous manner. Receive field tickets and process on date/time machine. The computer totals for fruit received and run balance with bin operator’s records for
accuracy. Maintain scale house in a neat, clean, orderly condition. Ensure all fruit is picked up and unloaded. Complete and sign cannery report and send to state test. Deliver all
paperwork to shift foreman at closeout. Work 8-hour day with extended hours as necessary. Demonstrate good attendance.

Education Requirements [Minimum level of formal education that is required to perform this job satisfactorily]
High School diploma or GED.
Vocational School or some college courses preferred.
Training, Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Knowledge and skill equivalent to completion of high school. Good record keeping skills. Ability to use computerized scales. Ability to perform routine, repetitive movements in a fast
paced environment.
Non-Essential Functions
- Other duties as needed.
- Train new employees.
- Participate in the CCJ safety program.
- Be a team member in the quality improvement process.
- Learn other jobs in a functional area.
Equipment
Computerized printer scales, computers and associated software, computer printer, calculator, telephone, copy machine, simplex time/date stamp machine, addressograph stamper, air
tube system, safety equipment as identified in the JSA.
Working Conditions
Work is performed both in and out if doors in a confined setting. Work is performed on rotating shifts. Requires exposure to fumes, high noise levels, moving equipment, etc.
