Key responsibilities for this role include:

Development of Departmental Goals: Creating and implementing departmental goals, plans, and standards that align with the organization's clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements and objectives.

Operational Management: Overseeing departmental operations, which encompass patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, all aimed at achieving performance and quality control objectives.

Staffing Oversight: Planning and monitoring staffing activities, including recruitment, orientation, performance evaluation, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.

Financial Management: Preparing, monitoring, and assessing departmental budgets while ensuring compliance with allocated funding. Coordinating and directing both internal and external audits.

Professional Growth and Evidence-Based Practices: Creating an environment that encourages professional development and integrates evidence-based practices into daily operations and clinical protocols.

Objective Achievement: Directing the department's activities and resources to meet both departmental and organizational objectives.
