Basic/Minimum Qualifications

The goal is to meet internal quality standards and customer needs, supporting local and global quality objectives. Responsibilities include ensuring the ISO 9001 Quality Management System's effectiveness, and using structured problem-solving methods to investigate and resolve quality issues and enhance quality outcomes.
Basic/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred, with a focus on Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or Materials, along with at least 2 years of experience in manufacturing or engineering.
- Experience in thermoplastic film extrusion and web handling, ISO 9001 compliance, proficiency in Quality management and 5S methodologies.
- Continuous Improvement practices, and Microsoft Office suite. Advanced qualifications include higher education, ASQ certifications such as LSS Green/Black Belt, Quality Engineer, Quality Auditor, proficiency in Minitab and SAP.
- Understands and embodies the site's workplace safety culture, consistently addresses safety issues, and actively engages in site safety teams. Proficient in managing change activities for both standard processes and project operations.
- Supports the SDF Quality Management System to achieve ISO 9001:2015 certification and align with the Global IMS. Takes a lead or supportive role on the Self-Assessment team to ensure annual compliance requirements are met. Updates and manages current quality documentation and creates new documentation as necessary. Facilitates or takes charge of QMS processes such as Calibration, Document Change Request (DCR), Non-Conforming Material Report (NCMR), Material Review Board (MRB), and Supplier Management for raw materials, proposing enhancements as appropriate.
- Provides daily support to internal stakeholders (Production, Engineering, GQM, GTPM, CO/OM, MM, Innovation) to ensure quality outcomes at the site. Assesses standard quality issues and recommends enhancements. May guide Quality Technicians, Production staff, or Process Technicians in quality-related decision-making.
- Understands site's business and economic drivers. Develops as the Voice of the External Customer or Voice of Business as required.
