Hours: 8:30 a.m.– 4:30 p.m Monday–Friday*
*Hours/Days will vary depending upon the needs of the department.

You will need strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to plan ahead. You should have excellent interpersonal skills, including effective verbal and written communication. Must maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and business integrity. Republican party affiliation preferred.
What do you need to have?
Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration or a related area and a minimum of 3 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
What will you be doing?
In a typical day you will need to manage and maintain the Deputy Director’s schedule, act as a liaison between the Deputy Director and managers, arrange conference calls and schedules meetings. You will transcribe meeting minutes, draft correspondence, and prepare reports. You will help develop speeches/presentations, ensuring that the information disseminated is accurate and timely. You will assist the Deputy Director in informing the media and the public about the Board of Elections, coordinate social media postings, press releases, informational articles, and brochures, for the public. Answer and handle email correspondence and telephone calls in an appropriate manner. In addition, you will follow up on any issues brought forth by the Board Members for resolution.

The principal role of the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections is to perform the fundamental and vital functions of administering our elections. In carrying out its mission, the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections will seek to achieve the following objectives:
