What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiving Coordinator position at CVS Health Retail?
To successfully receive and document all merchandise and supplies coming into the distribution center, and distribute to the perspective department when applicable. Also, assist the receiving supervisor in daily operations of the receiving department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive inbound "Purchase Orders" from outside vendors and contractors.
- Create IT help desk for any computer or system issues for the Receive & Ship area.
- Adjust cartons from QA pallets & for quantities put into irregulars.
- Order office supplies for the various distribution center departments.
- Requisition for replenishment low stock supplies (i.e. Boxes, Tape, Paper, etc.).
- Generate case labels for on various style conversions and "Return Authorizations"
- Assistance to the supervisor when the need arises.
- Assist when needed in pulling tasks when "No other" work is available.
- Unload and/or Load trucks or trailers if the need is warranted.
- Assist when needed in other areas when "No" work is available.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
- Advise management of obsolete or ageing findings. Create a disposal list for management to approve.
- Cross train with Inventory Specialist as a backup, assist when necessary.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to work independently with little supervision as well as part of a team.
- Able to lift 20-50 lbs. on an unassisted basis.
- Background in a distribution center environment.
- Ability to operate power industrial equipment. (Forklifts, Dock stockers, etc.)
- High school graduate or equivalent.
