Job Description
Join the Coram/CVS team as a Patient Intake Coordinator and you will support the branch with the initial admission of patients onto service with the Company. In this role, you will maintain communication and workflow between the branch, Sales staff, Insurance Verification team, and referral sources, helping to ensure new patients are receiving excellent care while on our services.

As a Patient Intake Coordinator you...

-collects demographics and insurance information on patients and acts as the primary contact for new and existing accounts.
-investigate type and level of insurance coverage to assess patient eligibility for the program
- communicate with medical professionals and insurance company personnel to expedite patient eligible into program
- resolves reimbursement issues with accounts, sales force, and management.
- completes data entry to ensure accuracy of reporting and outcomes
- Investigates data entry issues to correct data warehouse reports
- Enters initial patient delivery ticket with a appropriate billing information.
- Monitors computerized reports to avoid delays in customer billing information.
- Confirms the timely resolution to un-voucherables.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- minimum one year of related experience.
- Strong service orientation and customer service attitude
- effective verbal and written communication skills
- excellent detail orientation and time management skills.
-proficiency with Microsoft business software

Preferred Qualifications
-great customer service and communication skills
- proficient with computer skills
- Background in insurance, benefit verification, and authorization process

Education
Verifiable High School Diploma or GED is required.
