What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dining Room Manager position at CVSC?
A Dining Room Attendant is responsible for serving meals to residents and ensuring that their needs are met in relation to the dining experience. In addition, servers are expected to take an active role in the preparation and clean-up of the dining room, including setting and clearing tables and vacuuming the dining room as appropriate.
Principal Responsibilities:
Operational:
- Perform such physical activities as grasping, lifting above the shoulder, reaching, standing, walking, pushing and pulling
- Maintain compliance with all DOH regulations and community standards.
- Follow established health and safety regulations in the use of equipment and supplies at all times after receiving sufficient training
- Perform a variety of tasks as assigned (such as assisting during special events, etc.)
- Carry out detailed verbal and written instructions
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Must be courteous and tactful in dealing with residents, staff, guests and vendors.
- Meet customer service standards in a friendly, helpful manner with resident satisfaction a priority.
Qualifications:
- High school student or graduate preferred but not required
- Must be able to read, write and speak English effectively
Working Conditions:
- Normal senior living setting
- Works in the dining area with residents, family members, staff, visitors, government agencies under all conditions and circumstances.
