Essential Duties
- Food Preparation: Skillfully prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes, including sandwiches, salads, soups, and daily specials, using fresh and high-quality ingredients.
- Recipe Adherence: Follow established recipes and guidelines while actively contributing to menu innovation and development.
- Food Safety: Maintain strict adherence to all food safety and hygiene standards within the kitchen area.
- Quality Control: Monitor and uphold food quality, presentation, and consistency to meet our elevated standards.
- Kitchen Organization: Keep the kitchen area impeccably clean, organized, and well-maintained, including inventory management and rotation.
- Training and Development: Train and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring continuous skill development and maintaining a high level of competence.
- Collaboration: Work seamlessly as part of a team to ensure a smooth kitchen operation, maintaining effective communication with fellow kitchen staff.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent and/or culinary training.
- Previous Experience: Cook experience may include work in a similar kitchen setting, restaurant, catering, or other food service environments.
- Culinary Training: Culinary training or relevant certifications.
- Food Safety Knowledge: Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices to ensure a hygienic kitchen environment.
