What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant/Toddler Teachers position at CWFF CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER?

  • Act as back up to lead teacher in infant/toddler classroom
  • Implement teaching methods created by Lead Teacher to meet children’s needs
  • Complete screenings, ongoing assessments, anecdotal notes on all children in classroom
  • Monitor children’s academic progress to ensure activities are meeting the children’s needs
  • Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet children’s needs
  • Update student files as instructed by the lead teacher and/or management staff
  • Track hours children are in attendance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Call parents when children are absent from assigned classroom without notice
  • Cleanse children’s workstations, toys and supplies on a weekly basis to maintain a healthy classroom environment
  • Assist children with self-care activities such as diapering, toileting, hand washing, etc.
  • Ensure that children are being cared for on a continuous basis
  • Track number of children in classroom daily for Child and Adult Food Program (CACFP)
  • Take and record point of service meal counts as children are being served
  • Compare meal counts to attendance and enrollment records
  • Assist Lead Teacher with emergency evacuations of children
  • Continue and adhere to professional development plan

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.50 - $15.00 per hour

All parents are required to wear mask inside building. 99 percent of teachers and staff are vaccinated.

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • Childcare: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

  • CPR Certification (Preferred)
  • Child Development Associate Certification (Required)

Security clearance:

  • Confidential (Required)
