As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial records and processes of our company. Your role will involve handling various accounting tasks, such as bookkeeping, financial analysis, and journal entries. You will also need to be familiar with DODD regulations and GAAP standards to ensure compliance with all financial reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and journal entries.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with all DODD regulations and GAAP standards.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of all financial accounts.
- Provide support for the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements for audits and tax filings.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting processes.
- Communicate financial information to management and other stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certification in DODD and/or experience working with the Department of Developmental Disabilities preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping role.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
