Controller

Located in Buda, TX we are a leading Construction company seeking a Controller to join the team!

Position Overview: The Controller is responsible for overseeing and managing all of our financial operations, from budgeting and forecasting to financial reporting and compliance. The Controller will lead the financial team in the management and execution of the financial planning process and ensure that the accounting system is accurately maintained and operated in compliance with GAAP standards. The Controller will also be responsible for developing and implementing effective accounting processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the financial team in the development and implementation of effective accounting processes and procedures.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, planning, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain financial controls and procedures.
• Ensure that financial statements are prepared in accordance with GAAP.
• Analyze and interpret financial reports.
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Manage job costing, payroll, and other financial activities.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Controller or similar financial role.
• Construction industry experience - required
• In-depth knowledge and experience with WIP reports, financial statements, AP/AR, general ledger, payroll, and job costing
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Strong problem solving
