We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer with experience in PLC programming to join one of the largest providers of electrical consulting services in the US! We specialize in building UL508A Panels for many different industries including; material handling, waste water, pharmaceutical, and many more.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug and maintain control system software.
- Develop and implement new systems and processes that will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the control system.
- Analyze system problems and troubleshoot to identify and resolve them.
- Develop and implement HMI developments and changes.
- Perform PLC programming, testing, and maintenance of existing equipment.
- Perform commissioning, validation, and optimization of control systems.
- Evaluate and modify control system/equipment hardware and software as necessary.
- Produce electrical system designs and circuit diagrams.
- Provide technical support, training and guidance to team members.
- Bachelors degree in engineering, or equivalent experience
- 3 years of experience in designing, programming and commissioning control systems
- Experience with PLCs (Allen Bradley, Control Logix, Rockwell, Compact Logix, Micro logix)
- Experience with wastewater, material handling, life science, or pharmaceutical applications
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Experience with other control systems such as Schneider, DCS, and DeltaV is a plus.
- PlantPAx and RA legacy systems (SLC, PLC5, PanelView) experience is a plus.
- Experience in VMWare/virtualization is a plus.
