We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable PLC Technician to join our team.
This individual will be responsible for working with electrical and mechanical systems as well as PLC programming in order to ensure smooth operations of our factory. The successful candidate will have an in-depth understanding of programming in Allen Bradley, Control Logix, Siemens PLC and other related systems. In addition, they must have excellent troubleshooting and maintenance skills, and they must be able to work with electrical test instrumentation as well as understand hydraulics and pneumatic systems. The ideal candidate must have a commitment to continuous improvement and the ability to utilize PM programs and FactoryTalk View.

Position Overview: The PLC Technician will be responsible for programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems as well as PLC programming. They will also be required to work with electrical test instrumentation, control I/O systems, DeviceNet and ControlNet, hydraulics, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Program and troubleshoot all PLC systems, including Allen Bradley, Control Logix, Siemens PLC, and other related systems.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical components, instrumentation, and controls.
- Develop documentation of programming and system configuration.
- Perform preventative maintenance on bottling equipment.
- Train other staff members in the safe operation and maintenance of PLC systems.
- Work with other departments to ensure that all projects are completed on time.
- Perform continuous improvement activities to improve efficiency and quality.
- Follow all safety procedures when working on the equipment and systems.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a PLC technician role in an industrial environment.
- Strong engineering and technical skills including PLC, Electrical and Mechanical skills.
- Possess an ability to conduct basic mathematical calculations.
- Be able to use electrical test instrumentation.
- Have good communication skills to work with plant personnel and vendors.
- Good analytical and problem solving ability.
- Understanding of Continuous improvement methods.
- Computer skills (MS office, FactoryTalk View, Control Logix).
- Allen Bradley, Siemens PLC programming/troubleshooting skills.
- Strong technical knowledge of compressed air systems (pneumatics), electrical
- systems, hydraulics and water processing.
- Able to read, interpret and analyze computer generated reports.
- Has advanced knowledge of bottling equipment, PM programs.
- Proficient computer navigation skills, including the use of Microsoft Offic applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer.)
- Must be able to do physical inspections, (i.e. climbing, reaching, extending).
- Working Knowledge of Ethernet/DeviceNet/DH /ControlNet/Remote I/O Systems
