Position Overview
The VP of Finance will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the company. This includes financial planning, budgeting, and financial reporting for a publicly traded company. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's goals and objectives
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Manage the budgeting process and ensure that budgets are aligned with the company's strategic plans.
- Monitor financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify risks and opportunities for the company.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, such as auditors, investors, and regulatory agencies.
- Stay up-to-date with accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Lead and mentor the finance team to ensure they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their roles effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
- CPA designation is required.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Extensive experience in financial reporting for publicly traded companies.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven track record of successfully managing budgets and financial performance
