Fortune 500 client seeks to fill a Manufacturing Technician ( gas and chemical) role located in a world-class high-tech manufacturing facility in Santa Clara, CA. Candidates will work on systems and maintain supply of chemicals and gases to a semiconductor manufacturing environment making electronic devices.

Responsibilities
Technicians will be responsible for the safe operation of assigned chemicals and gas distribution systems including but not limited to the following duties:
- Handling and change-out of gas, chemical, and slurry containers
- Computer operations to support job functions and customer needs
- Support of quality systems
Physical Attributes
- Occasionally climb ladders
- Basic lifting (up to 40 lbs.)
- In some cases, technicians must put on supplied contained breathing air respirator while working with chemicals
- PPE will be made available to workers including vouchers to purchase required safety boots
- Bending of the knees and overhead reaching required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in maintenance or as an equipment technician, (mechanical or electronic environment a plus)
- Solid understanding of gas and chemical systems and SEMI construction standards
- Previous experience with chemical and gas distribution equipment is helpful
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications
- Military training is welcomed
- Strong technical aptitude
Benefits
- Hourly pay up to $30 per hour or $60k annually commensurate with experience
- New hires are required to complete paid hazardous communication training (Right to Know) before being released to manufacturing floor (There are no planned activities or work in which a worker is exposed to any of the products used onsite)
- Optional participation in benefit plans (medical, dental, vision, disability, 401k, etc.)
- 1-year contract with opportunity for extension and/or direct hire
