As an IT Technical Support specialist, you will coordinate various IT initiatives, handle asset management tasks, and provide Level 2 troubleshooting for hardware and software issues. You will also be responsible for ensuring the proper disposal of surplus equipment and maintaining accurate documentation of all IT assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, communicate, document, and track progress on IT initiatives.
- Respond to management’s special requests for asset information.
- Maintain and prepare Chain of Custody documentation for all end-of-life equipment returned for surplus.
- Prepare surplus equipment for disposal according to client requirements.
- Recommend and coordinate schedules for IT asset replacements, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Develop and document processes for IT asset installations, relocations, and changes.
- Provide technical guidance on IT assets for procurement documents and agency requisitions.
- Respond to Service Desk tickets requiring Level 2 asset management attention.
- Analyze, recommend, and implement new phases of the ServiceNow Asset Management module.
- Process ServiceNow updates and reconcile physical inventory reports from the field.
- Provide Level 2 troubleshooting and technical problem resolution for PC hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Utilize ServiceNow to track and resolve technical issues.
- Use Microsoft Systems Centre Configuration Manager to run hardware and software reports and image laptop and desktop hardware.
- Create documentation for technical staff and end-users.
- Set up and troubleshoot video conferencing platforms and conference room VC setups.
- Work with VMware Virtual Desktop Infrastructure.
- Use AirWatch Workspace One for administrative tasks, reporting, and compliance for Windows modern managed devices.
- Asset management, including Chain of Custody documentation and surplus disposal.
- IT asset scheduling, installation, relocation, and process documentation.
- Technical guidance for procurement and requisitions.
- ServiceNow Asset Management module and Level 2 support.
- Troubleshooting PC hardware, software, peripherals, and VC setups.
- Microsoft SCCM for hardware/software reports and imaging.
- Documentation creation for technical staff and end-users.
- VMware VDI and AirWatch Workspace One administration.
